Stem mastering is an enhanced method of mastering which allows our engineer to have more flexibility, resulting in a greater level of clarity and depth in the final master. This is achieved by a track being exported into several groups (stems). Each stem can then be processed individually to add warmth, width and punch.

Here is an example of how a track should be grouped into 8 stems:

  • Kick

  • Bass

  • Percussion

  • Hats/tops

  • Synths

  • Pads/strings

  • FX

  • Vocals

Please note: Stems should be exported once you are happy with your mixdown.
